Xbox Live for Windows 10 will be free for the online multiplayer game


Microsoft finally brings Xbox Live for Windows PCs and significantly phones with Windows 10, and with it comes the possibility of online multiplayer game using Microsoft's gaming service. While Microsoft Xbox One bill currently owners to use multiplayer games online, the software maker has no plans to extend this to Windows 10 computers or phones. Larry Hryb Microsoft, otherwise known as Major Nelson, confirmed the plans on Twitter last week in response to concerns on Xbox Live on Windows 10. "No charge," said Hryb, "Xbox Live Gold will be no need for online multiplayer games using our service on Windows 10 PCs and phones ".

PC gamers will not be surprised by Microsoft's decision to stop the charge, but it provides the assurance that the company is not seeking to monetize its service Xbox Live again on PCs and phones. Microsoft faces stiff competition from the likes of Steam, Origin, GOG, and other services that have benefited from the open nature of the PC platform to build their own stores and gaming services. Microsoft has failed in the past to successfully launch its own store or gaming service, with Games for Windows Live is a particular sore spot among PC gamers thanks to its subscription cost and various bugs that hindered authentication games and features. Microsoft now brings Xbox Live to Windows 10 fully through a new Xbox application that includes social features, game clips DVR, and the ability to stream games Xbox One to a PC running Windows 10 or laptop.
