If you held a Samsung phone, you have all the light, right? Light, slightly cheap-feeling, and almost entirely of plastic - which was the Samsung modus operandi before mid-2014 when it became apparent Galaxy S5 sales came in significantly below expectations. He began tinkering with metal frames and twisted designs, but the S6 Galaxy is more than a tweak.
While it retains the general aesthetic Samsung, the GS6 virtually no plastic anywhere. The front (with its 5.1 inch screen) and back are both the glass and the frame is aluminum. No more of this painted chromed plastic for the Samsung flagship. There are two versions of the GS6, one with a regular flat screen and another with a curved panel that descends on the edges. I do not see the point of that person, but it does give some interesting results. It can be troublesome in practice, however.
EdgeOn the front is a physical home button flanked by multitasking and capacitive buttons back. The fingerprint reader is now a touch sensor rather than suddenly. The GS6 is wearing a striking resemblance to the iPhone 6, but you can not blame Samsung for what works. Samsung has, however, do a good job to slim glasses of GS5, who always felt rather awkward for me.Samsung devices have always been two notable features - a housing of the battery and the removable microSD card. The Galaxy S6 did not. I find it strange, especially for Samsung, but has damage to the memory of the base model to 32 GB and offer both 64GB and 128GB (WOW) versions. The Galaxy S6 has much in common with the HTC One M9. The M9 is a waterproof phone like the M8 was. The battery does not come out, but there is a microSD card slot. The Galaxy S6 looks very different from its predecessor, but HTC has changed very little since the M8 to M9. Again it is a rounded aluminum monocoque frame with a 5-inch screen (more on that later) and speakers Boom double-sided Sound before. If you see the M9 in some ways, you might not even be able to tell from the M8.HTC has made some changes to the design, as an observer noted eagle eyes. First, the black window at the bottom of the front panel has been reduced a key and the power button mounted on the top is moved to the side. Some of the lines on the phone are also slightly different as well. At the rear, there is one large camera sensor instead of the two cameras of the M8.So both phones will feel very premium, but the M9 feel about the same as last year's model did. Samsung has changed a lot to catch up in the general appearance and department.Batteries vs screensHTC and Samsung have both taken with identical screen sizes jewels of last year. The GS6 sports a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED panel and the M9 has a 5-inch LCD screen. Samsung's screen could be the same size, but the resolution was bumped up to 2560 × 1440. HTC will use 1080p for the third consecutive year, probably because 1440p LCD panels are still pretty poor.Samsung AMOLED HD quad-pack in more pixels into a smaller space than other phones. It runs at a staggering 576 pixels per inch. An M9 will again offer a "mere" 440 pixels per inch. One of these numbers is significantly larger than the other, but there are very few cases where most people will be able to see the difference in resolution. If you have less than perfect vision, these extra pixels on the GS6 could be wasted anyway.Screen GS6These screens are based on completely different technologies. Samsung AMOLED displays makes the best in the world, and it shows. The panel used in note 4 was incredibly beautiful, and the GS6 will probably be even better. Samsung has overcome many issues AMOLED such as low brightness and the color is incorrect too hot. Meanwhile, LCD is a reliable technology that provides accurate color and good outward visibility. HTC tend to choose very good LCD panels too.So it is likely that Samsung has a more impressive display on its flagship device, but the battery only increased slightly 2550mAh (2600 in the Edge variant). He should get life solid battery, but the HTC 1080p LCD will use less juice in most cases and it packs a larger 2840mAh cell. This should result in much better battery life with more screen time on HTC.Both displays have their strengths, but it's up to you to decide what is most important - being pretty or a longer life.DevicesHTC introduced the UltraPixel 4MP camera in the world in 2013 with a M7. In 2014, he put the M8 with another 4MP camera, but an additional depth sensor was added. The "Camera Duo" has been largely ignored by consumers, and this year, HTC is back to basics with a single high-resolution camera. The M9 has a 20MP rear camera and UltraPixel 4MP sensor on the front .The M9 has just been announced, it is impossible to say how the photos will be. At least HTC will have more to work with. In 4MP, you could not crop a photo of the M8 even a little without seeing confusion. He will come down to how HTC has optimized the software and post-processing. However, a major strike against the M9 is the lack of optical image stabilization. This is the technology that eliminates the blur in longer exposures to shake hands.01/03/2015-Image-6Samsung has always been at the top of the heap when it comes to photography on Android. The material is almost the same for equipment these days, but Samsung has some really great software tricks that can take above average images on low-light environments. HDR shots coming out of Samsung's phones were also excellent. The Galaxy S6 will feature a 16MP camera, which is the same as last year. Samsung uses phase detection to speed up focusing and promises GS6 will be even faster than the Galaxy S5 was. It has optical image stabilization, which is good for pictures in low light and HDR. However, what makes a thin camera module, which means that there is a visible bump on the back of the Galaxy S6.Both devices have the ingredients to take great pictures. HTC has a lot of catching up, though.Internal and loadUsually there is very little difference in the flagship phones. They always use the latest and greatest from Qualcomm, but this year is a little weird. Samsung would have encountered overheating problems with the Snapdragon 810 during the design phase, he abandoned the Qualcomm chip for its own Exynos house solution. HTC on the other hand, does not have many options and chose to use the Snapdragon 810 in M9.
New Samsung Exynos is still somewhat mysterious. Samsung
usually uses only Exynos chip in international versions of its devices,
and it will be the first of its new 14nm chips octa-core. 7
64-bit Exynos Octa 7420 used in the Galaxy S6 (Standard and Edge) has
four Cortex-A57 cores and four fast Cortex-A53 cores low power (ARM ARM
big.LITTLE calls this configuration). It
uses a technology called global task scheduling mix and match all
hearts with cache coherency move tasks around any manner deemed most
effective. It is paired with a Mali-T760 GPU, also designed by ARM.samsung-Exynos-7The Snapdragon 810 in the HTC One M9 is a 64-bit octa-core chip based on the A57 and A53 configuration. Like the Exynos, it has support for the overall planning of the task. The
side of the GPU, Qualcomm stuck with its internally Adreno 430. Thus,
most of the parts are the same, but the first benchmarks show the Exynos
chip outperforms the Snapdragon. Is it because of the thermal throttling? It is impossible to say for now, but both devices will likely be fast enough for most activities nearly all the time.We are indeed in the era of 3 GB of RAM for a flagship phone, and both devices offer. One notable difference, Samsung chose to use LPDDR4 and HTC is still on LPDDR3. It is not clear if this will have a noticeable effect on performance, but it's something to keep in mind. One of my favorite Qualcomm technologies in 2014 was 2.0 Fast Charge. It goes by various names like Motorola Turbo Charging and fast charging HTC. Basically,
the chipset can draw up to 15 watts of power from a compatible wall
adapter and from 0 to 60 percent in 30 minutes (with a 3000mAh battery).
The HTC One quick charge function M9 2.0, because it has a Snapdragon chip. The Galaxy S6, on the other hand, has a Exynos chip. This means no quick recharge. Samsung says it has in place an alternative solution for faster
loading, but you will probably have to deal with Samsung charger
included only.The
GS6 makes up for it a bit with the included wireless charging, which
used to require replacement back on the previous Galaxy phones. Since you can not take the back off the GS6, Samsung thought he should just built that. A lack even the M9 wireless charging.SoftwareBoth
phones come with Android 5.0 Lollipop, but it will not be the version
of Lollipop Google was rolling on Nexus devices for the last few months.
The Galaxy S6 and M9 will skins and features baked in OEM. In the case of Samsung TouchWiz is, and that's HTC Sense 7.Samsung and HTC have come a long way in the software department. A few years Sense was awkward and dated, but with a M7, HTC began to change. Now its software has very clean, modern design and interesting features like BlinkFeed and a new theme engine for the M9.ThemesTouchWiz has been criticized in the past, and still is in some parts of the Internet. The
transformation of Samsung Android has not always been as carefully as
he should have, leading to unacceptable bloated and slow function. Samsung has begun to change this with the Galaxy S5, which removed and off a number of little-used features. TouchWiz also includes some genuinely useful options as a reminder of downloading and ultra power saving mode.HTC Sense could be a bit more attractive in general, but Samsung TouchWiz working hard to make more consistent and less messy. TouchWiz on the Galaxy S6 has even more things in it that HTC, most of which you will never use.Everyone is a winner?HTC
clearly thinks he has a winning formula with the series A, so he made
some changes to the design and functionality of the One M9. HTC
has responded to concerns on the camera, boosted the size of the
battery, and moved the power button to a more convenient location. If HTC has a problem going into this year is that the M9 is not very exciting. You can barely tell the difference between it and the M8.Side GS6Apart
from the internal, HTC could do exactly this phone a year ago at a time
when he would have beaten the pants off of the Galaxy S5. Going up against the Galaxy S6 will be much harder.Samsung has taken our criticism to heart and completely redesigned the way it makes phones. The Galaxy S6 has a tight body with no microSD card slot and a non-removable battery. While some longtime Samsung users will be upset by this decision, but a monocoque phone feels premium. It was the biggest problem of Samsung. You can not charge $ 600 for a phone that looks like a phone $ 300.M9The Galaxy S6 is probably the most interesting of the two simply because it's such a break with the past. However, these will be both excellent phones.
